Tips
- Keep the sitemap to pages you want found. Leave out thank-you pages and duplicates.
- Submit the sitemap in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

Where do these files go?
At the top level of your site, so they load at yourwebsite.com/robots.txt and yourwebsite.com/sitemap.xml.
How many pages can a sitemap hold?
Up to fifty thousand addresses per file. Larger sites use a sitemap index.
Should I block AI crawlers?
Only if you do not want AI tools to read your site. Most businesses want to be mentioned, so we advise leaving them out of the block list.
